Frequently Asked Questions about our Inflatable Pools

Where can I set up my Outdoor Leisure Prompt Set Pool?

For safety reasons, the pool should be set up on a flat, level surface that is less that 3 degrees in grade.  If, when filling the pool with water, the water does not spread out evenly, then your surface is not suitable and the pool should be moved to a new site.

Suitable surfaces for pool installation include grass, pavement, compacted earth, or pavement.  Always use the ground cloth (and especially if the pool is to be set up on concrete or pavement) to protect the bottom of the pool.

The pool should NEVER be set up on a deck, wooden surface, or on any unstable surface that can shift.  Do not use sand to level the ground.  Do not attempt to raise the level of the pond using any type of frame; the volume of water is extremely heavy and may cause your frame to collapse.

Will the pool damage the vegetation underneath it?

Because of the heavy weight of the water in the pool, it is not possible to prevent damage to the grass or vegetation underneath it.  Please keep this in mind when you choose a setup area.

If your pool is set up on concrete, the ground cover will help prevent water damage to the surface underneath the pool.  To minimize growth of fungus underneath the pool, mop up excess water after each use.

When should I run my filter pump?

NEVER RUN THE FILTER PUMP WHEN THE POOL IS IN USE.  Running the pump when the pool is in use may put your family at risk of electrical shock, or may cause hair to become tangled in the pump intake.

ALWAYS TURN OFF AND UNPLUG THE FILTER PUMP WHEN THE POOL IS IN USE.

When the pool is not in use, for optimal water quality, the filter pump should be run for approximately 4 to 5 hours a day.

How can I minimize the need for water changes?

In addition to running the filter pump 4-5 hours a day, you should also maintain chlorination levels in the water, test the water regularly to ensure proper chemical balance, keep the pump filter clean, and keep the pool covered when it is not being used.

What is the pool cover for?

The pool cover:

  1. Keeps debris out of the water when it is not being used.
  2. Protects the pool from UV light, when the pool is not being used.  Since UV light degrades all PVC plastics, the use of the pool cover will maximize the life of your pool.

How do I store my pool during the offseason?

It is not advisable to leave the pool out in prolonged temperatures below 38 degrees Fahrenheit, or 3 degrees Celsius.  Proper off-season storage will maximize the life of the pool.

At the end of the season, the pool will need to be dissembled.  After completely draining all the water, scrub the pool liner with a mild household soap and water mixture.  Completely air-dry the pool until no moisture remains.

After disassembly, your pool should be carefully folded and wrapped in a protective tarp.  The entire kit, including the pool, should be stored indoors, in a warm and dry location.

How long will the pool last?

If the pool is properly maintained and cared for, you should be able to enjoy your pool for many years.
